UPSTATE, SC – On Friday, September 19, 2008, The Palmetto Bank proudly hosted a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony for its twenty-ninth full-service branch, located in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The 2,000 sq. ft. branch, conveniently located at 201 Oakland Avenue, is The Palmetto Bank’s first presence in York County and the newest addition to the bank.
Approximately 130 people attended the mid-morning ribbon-cutting ceremony, including The Palmetto Bank’s executives, community bank board members and many prominent York County business and community leaders.
The Palmetto Bank’s President and Chief Retail Officer Andy Douglas, and Rock Hill Mayor Pro-Tem Kevin Sutton, cut the ribbon officially opening the new Rock Hill office. The ribbon was decorated with $5 bills totaling $100 that was donated to the Boys & Girls Club of York County.
“We are so excited that such a large number of community and York County leaders attended the ribbon-cutting event,” says Andy Douglas. “We are grateful to the Rock Hill community for their support and we look forward to serving them for many years to come.”
