Here's how it works: The Christmas Club account is an interest bearing savings plan set up with weekly, bi-weekly or monthly deposits. You can open yours for just $5, and you'll start earning interest immediately. Then in October a check will be issued to you and the interest paid at that time, so you can get your holiday shopping started.
