Hanson holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Hawthorne University and a Doctorate of Business Administration. He has 37 years of executive management and lending experience in the financial services industry. Hanson has been with The Palmetto Bank for three years.

“This promotion recognizes the outstanding contribution John has made to our Credit Administration area through his leadership, not only of our BankCard, Indirect Lending and retail credit services areas, but also in the area of complex loan risk assessment. His talent and experience have made him a valuable part of our leadership team,” said Mike Ellison, executive vice president and chief credit officer.
