UPSTATE, SC – The Palmetto Bank (the “Bank”), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Palmetto Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLMT), announces its support of the Upstate American Heart Association’s fundraising efforts by selling special “hearts” designed to encourage awareness of cardiovascular disease. These hearts will be offered for sale through April 12th in all of our 25 Upstate branch locations. The hearts are offered for sale at donation levels of $1.00, $5.00 and $10.00, with all funds raised going to the Upstate American Heart Association.

In addition to selling hearts, the Bank will participate in the Upstate Heart Walk at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th at Greer City Park in Greer, South Carolina. The Upstate Heart Walk consists of a three-mile walk; or a shorter one-mile short course option. This is a family friendly event and we invite you to join The Palmetto Bank team in support of the Upstate American Heart Association.
